Weekend with the Faunces

This past weekend, we packed up and headed to Peachtree City to spend the weekend with Jason's family. We were "catching up" on Easter, Mother's Day and Jason Birthday. It was a great weekend full of relaxation in their beautiful, new kitchen and their always beautiful backyard! We had a great time and feel very blessed to have such an amazing family!

At almost 26 weeks (the picture below was 25 weeks), I feel wonderful. I LOVE being pregnant. It is so amazing to me. I feel like I am growing every single day, and bending over is getting more and more difficult! Baby girl continues to move ALL THE TIME! I think I'm in big trouble - she's going to be just like her daddy - always on the go!

24 Week Appointment

This past Monday, I had my 24 weeks appointment - everything went well! It was a pretty uneventful visit, other than my glucose screening, which came back negative. YAY! Baby girl's heartbeat was a strong 150.

My mom came in town today headed to my step-sister's in North Carolina. She came bearing gifts for her sweet granddaughter! Below is my favorite, and definitely one I plan on putting my sweet baby girl in at the hospital!

Let the renovating begin...

We spent this weekend starting renovations on our new home, which was a much needed break from the stress of trying to sell a house! The goal this weekend - get the office and half bath painted. Goal met!! (The jury is still out on the half bath...we're trying this color our for now.) When we bought the house we are living in now, we promised ourselves that we would never paint again (we both HATE to paint!!!). We always said it would be totally worth it to hire someone. Well, 4 years, 2 mortgages, and a baby-on-the-way later....we're painting! :)

Do I say often enough that I'm obsessed with my husband?? Well, just in case I don't, I am! He's the greatest! (And mighty cute, I should add.)

Me and June Anne helped out, too (don't worry - I did the research to make sure it was ok). This is also doubling as the 24 week photo.
Stay tuned for more renovations! The goal is to be moved in sometime in July!

We're Registered!

As I've said in so many of my posts, I have solicited advice from so many women during this pregnancy, including friends, family, and co-workers. They have provided such invaluable information during this entire pregnancy. The registering advice was no different!

Last weekend, me and my mom collected every bit of advice we've gotten (as well as a number of lists provided by some friends and family) and registered for my baby girl! It was a lot of fun, but also VERY overwhelming. Why on earth are there so many option of bottles, pacifiers, diapers, lotions, creams, etc., etc., etc.?!?!? Surely that is not necessary! At any rate, we were able to get registered at Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us all in one day!!!

We were also able to pick out a crib for my sweet baby girl. My mom and Donny (as is tradition with the first grandchild for each of their children) were sweet to purchase our first crib. I love it!! Isn't it beautiful? My favorite part - the detailed front rail - I love the curve of it!

Daddy's Little Girl

Ever since we found out we are having a sweet baby girl, I always imagined that she would be daddy's little girl. I didn't realize she would be daddy's little girl already! How do I know that she's obsessed with her daddy already? First, every time Jason touches my belly, she kicks, punches or moves around. While she moves a lot during the day, she only moves on queue for him. Secondly, if I get close enough to him while he's talking, she starts kicking up a storm...I don't mean a little punch. I mean that she's dancing in there! I absolutely LOVE it!!! I would love nothing more for her to be daddy's little girl. Precious!

But, even if this isn't the person to buy our home, "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!"

Surprise Lunch Visitor!!!

I had a surprise visit from my sweet friend, Isa and her sweet baby girl, Josephine today!!! They are here for Erin's hooding ceremony (YAY for Erin!!!!) and stopped by to have lunch. What a fun surprise!!! If you know Isa, you know that's just how she works. Love her!

Isa also gave me a sweet gift for my baby girl...her very first Olivia Blanchard oil painting! I can't wait to pick out colors to go with this sweet painting!

Just the kind of visit I needed to get through my day!!

Open House and 22 Weeks

I would say that our open house today was a success! I told Jason that if ONE person came and loved the house, I would be happy. And that's just what happened! One person came, but she LOVED it. She has a townhouse for sale, but once it sells, she is really interested in our house. It's exactly what she's looking for! So, now we are praying that her townhouse sells quickly so she can take this beautiful house off of our hands!

In Baby Girl news, everything is going well. Getting bigger by the day, I feel like! My little angel is quite the active one. I love, love, love feeling her move! Such a cool part of carrying this precious baby around!
