The Purse

Two years when I passed the CPA exam, I rewarded myself with an awesome, huge Coach purse (which was purchased on sale, of course). I LOVE this purse. Its huge, and it holds (literally) EVERYTHING I need. Over the past year and a half, my poor Coach purse has been stuffed to the brim with everything that was going to get my attention at a later date. As a result, I have ended up carrying around a bowling ball bag instead of a purse. My husband often comments that its time to clean it out. My friends have often commented that the purse is out of control. Well, the Coach purse finally got the attention it deserves tonight. Here's a picture of everything that had accumulated in my purse:
Really? That's just not right. Half of the stuff in here was completely unnecessary. And the Coach purse is now 5 lbs lighter!

Julia's Wedding

This past weekend, two of my sweet friends from college, Julia and Matthew, got married in Statesboro. I was so excited to be able to go there and spend time with some of my friends from college that I haven't seen in way too long! Jason was supposed to go with me to the wedding, but (as usual) he underestimated the amount of time it would take Kevin and him to work on his truck. They started leveling the truck that morning and this is what it looked like at 3:45 when I headed off to Statesboro:

I love so many thing about my husband....his ability to estimate the amount of time to complete a project is not one of those things.

But, going to Statesboro alone did allow me to spend more time with my friends Amanda, Becca and Jenna since Amanda and Becca convinced me to stay in Statesboro for the night (Becca lives in Statesboro and is getting her doctorate at Georgia Southern). It was a beautiful wedding, and we had a great time!

Life after School

May 10, 2010 rivals my wedding day and the day I passed the CPA exam as one of the best days of my life. May 10, 2010 was the day I finished the last project for my Masters program and drove away from Auburn University. My experience with Auburn was not a bad one, but it was definitely difficult and a very long road. On the other hand, life after school has been absolutely amazing! A week after I finished my Masters, Jason and I took a trip to beautiful Antigua. It was wonderful! We drank, ate, relaxed...pretty much the perfect vacation. Here are a few pictures from our vacation.

This was the plane that we had to take from St. Maarten to Antigua....a 20 passanger plane. It was crazy. It pretty much felt like a rollar coaster ride for 40 minutes. I'm not sure I'll ever do that willingly again.

Heaven on earth.

We had such a wonderful time on our vacation celebrating our graduations and our 5th anniversary. The past week was definitely shocking as we tried to work our way back into the reality of life with work, chores, bills. But, I was able to do something else this week that I haven't done in awhile, which is go to dinner with my best friend, Whitney...on a WEEK night! We went to Mexican for Whit's bday (which was in April - I'm a little late these days...). Then we also had our friends Tyson and Victoria (and Baby Hulsebus, whose due August 6th) over on Thursday night for dinner. It is so nice being able to socialize during the week! I'm such a social person. The past year and a half have been very difficult for me since I haven't been able to be as social as I prefer. I can't wait to see my friends again and restore all of the relationships that have been pushed to the side in order for me to finish school! Basically, life is good. :)
